Alia Bhatt said, “My worst nightmare is someone breaking in and taking Raha away”

Ahead of her birthday, actress Alia Bhatt took part in a pre-birthday celebration with the media, where she also spoke about her work and family. Her husband, Ranbir Kapoor, joined her for the interaction. During the event, the couple requested the media to respect their privacy by not sharing pictures of their daughter, Raha. In addition, Alia recently removed all photos of her daughter from her official Instagram account. Reports suggest that their decision was influenced by a recent incident involving Saif Ali Khan and his children.

At the meet, she urged the media persons and photographers not to click or promote unauthorized images of Raha. Citing the aspects of Child Privacy Law and Data Protection Law,  Alia said media and individuals can’t use a minor’s pictures without parental consent.

Following the recent attack incident involving Saif Ali Khan, Alia Bhatt opened up about her biggest fear regarding her daughter’s safety. Expressing her concerns, she said, My worst nightmare is someone breaking in and taking Raha away.” The actress emphasized the importance of privacy and security for her family, which may have influenced her decision to remove all photos of her daughter from social media.

Ranbir said that “it might sound like a privileged problem. But as parents, we are trying to do as much as we can to protect our child.” Recalling a previous breach of privacy when Alia was clicked in their home, he added, “Anybody with a camera phone can post it, it’s not in our control. But we are just asking for help. We understand there’s curiosity, but there’s a line you cannot cross.”. Alia added, “We don’t want to push any action against anyone. But if somebody is not listening to us repeatedly, we are left with no other option.”

When a paparazzo asked the couple, if they are with Raha at the airport, what the shutterbugs are supposed to do then. Alia replied, “Let the child move first and then you can take pictures of us. If you get a picture of Raha some way, please hide it under an emoji before sharing on social media.”

Earlier in January, Saif Ali Khan was stabbed multiple times at his home after he found an intruder in his younger son Jeh’s room. Since the incident, Saif and Kareena Kapoor have asked the media not to click pictures of their children Taimur and Jeh for their safety.
