BJP leader Tajinder Bagga has entered Bigg Boss 18, announced by host Salman Khan.


The highly anticipated reality show Bigg Boss Season 18 premiered on October 6, hosted by Salman Khan. This season features many celebrities, but one contestant stands out for his controversial reputation: Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga. He is a leader in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and known for his bold and often provocative statements on social media.

Who is Tajinder Singh Bagga?

The 38-year-old Tajinder Singh Bagga is associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party’s youth wing ‘Yuva Morcha’. He currently heads the group’s Uttarakhand wing but has served as the national secretary of the BJP Yuva Morcha.

Tajinder Bagga has been active in politics for many years, joining the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) as a teenager. He established the Bhagat Singh Kranti Sena in 2011, an outfit he claimed was combating corruption. He gained significant public attention when he disrupted a book launch by writer Arundhati Roy and slapped lawyer Prashant Bhushan in a Supreme Court office.

Bagga gained more popularity after Prime Minister Narendra Modi took office in 2014. In 2015, PM Modi visited him at home, acknowledging Bagga’s increasing influence on social media, which led to him being labeled a “Twitter troll” known for stirring controversies.

Tajinder Singh Bagga Controversies

Tajinder Singh Bagga is also center of many controversies because his bold statements. In 2018, he ridiculed actress Swara Bhaskar for a scene in “Veere Di Wedding.” In 2020, he criticised Deepika Padukone for her support of students at Jawaharlal Nehru University after a violent incident. He has also been outspoken against Arvind Kejriwal, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader.

In the 2020 Delhi assembly elections, Bagga was defeated by Aam Aadmi Party leader Raj Kumari Dhillon. In 2022, he was arrested by Punjab police after an AAP leader accused him of making inflammatory statements. However, the Punjab and Haryana High Court later dismissed the case against him.

Now, Bagga is part of the reality show Bigg Boss 18, where audience can expect him to bring his bold personality and controversial views to the stage.

This season of Bigg Boss promises to be thrilling, with 18 contestants competing fiercely for the prestigious winner’s trophy and a substantial cash prize. Along with Tajinder Singh Bagga, other contestants participating for the trophy are Chahat Pandey, Shehzada Dhami, Avinash Mishra,Shilpa Shirodkar, Shrutika Arjun, Nyrra M Banerji,Chum Darang, Karan Veer Mehra, Rajat Dalal, Muskan Bamne, Arfeen Khan And Sara Arfeen Khan, Hema Sharma, Gunratan Sadavarte, Eisha Singh, Vivian DSena, Alice Kaushik.

In the previous season of Bigg Boss, which was Season 17, Munawar Faruqui emerged victorious, outshining notable contestants such as Abhishek Kumar, Mannara Chopra, and Ankita Lokhande. Although the season received mixed reviews in terms of popularity, all eyes are now on the upcoming Bigg Boss 18, generating a renewed wave of excitement among fans.
