Call Me Bae series set to release on Prime Video on September 6.
Several stars from B Town came under one roof to cheer for Ananya Panday and the team of the ‘Call Me Bae’ series. On Wednesday, the makers organised a special screening of ‘Call Me Bae’ in Mumbai.
In the visuals captured by the shutterbugs, filmmaker Karan Johar, Saif Ali Khan’s son Ibrahim Ali Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan and Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya could be seen attending the premiere night.
Ananya’s parents Chunky Panday and Bhavana Panday also attended the screening. They posed with their daughter on the red carpet. Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aryan was also spotted at the screening.
About ‘Call me Bae’
‘Call me Bae’ is web series produced by Dharmatic Entertainment with Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra as executive producers. Besides Ananya Panday, it stars Vir Das, Varun Sood, Vihaan Samat, Muskkaan Jaferi and Gurfateh Pirzada. Call Me Bae showcases the journey of Bella (Ananya Panday) finding herself, navigating work and love in the city of dreams. It has been directed by Collin D’Cunha. It will premiere on Prime Video on September 6.
Ananya Panday was last seen in the Netflix release Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, directed by Arjun Varain Singh. The film also starred Siddhant Chaturvedi, Adarsh Gourav and Kalki Koechlin. Her upcoming projects include Control and The Untold Story of C Sankaran Nair.
‘Call me Bae’ Plot
In Call Me Bae, Ananya plays a rich girl who suddenly finds herself stripped of her wealth, left with only a few pairs of her expensive belongings. The idea of a privileged character adjusting to a new, modest lifestyle is a common thread that binds these two narratives.

Streaming worldwide on September 6, the Hindi-language series on Prime Video also offers dubs in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
Reflecting on her role, Ananya said in a note shared by Prime Video, “From the start, I knew ‘Call Me Bae’ was a project I wanted to be part of. Even before hearing the script, I felt it was special.” She added, “Bae is a multi-layered character who faces numerous challenges while staying true to herself. This authenticity drew me to the role. It’s my first long format original series, and I couldn’t have asked for a better director than Collin or a more supportive cast. I’m excited to introduce Bae to worldwide audiences from September 6.”
