Celebrities often face overwhelming fan attention during public appearances, from exiting vehicles to navigating airports. Both fans and celebrities should maintain boundaries to avoid incidents that can quickly spread on social media. Celebrities, in particular, need to handle these situations with respect and calm. Recently, veteran South actor Nagarjuna was seen hugging a differently-abled fan who had been initially pushed by his bodyguard at the airport, earning widespread praise for his kind gesture.

What has happened

Telugu superstar Akkineni Nagarjuna recently encountered a specially-abled fan who had been pushed by his bodyguard at Mumbai airport. This meeting follows a widely circulated video showing the fan being mistreated, triggering considerable backlash on social media. Earlier this week, Nagarjuna was spotted departing from Mumbai airport with Tamil actor Dhanush close by. During the incident, a specially-abled fan tried to approach Nagarjuna but was aggressively pushed away by one of the actor’s security personnel.

Nagarjuna’s Apology

After learning about the incident, Nagarjuna retweeted the video and issued an apology. He wrote, “This just came to my notice… this shouldn’t have happened!! I apologize to the gentleman and will take necessary precautions that it will not happen in the future!!” on his social media account.

Nagarjuna meeting with the fan

On Wednesday, Nagarjuna returned to the Mumbai airport to meet the fan he had previously encountered. In a new video shared by celebrity photographer Viral Bhayani, Nagarjuna is seen hugging the fan and offering reassurance. The fan, visibly moved, apologized to the actor, to which Nagarjuna responded, “Don’t be sorry. Not your fault. Tumhaara galti nahi hai.”

This video has attracted significant public attention. While some people praise the actor’s kind gesture, others criticize him, suggesting he may have done it to maintain his reputation.
