Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba Review: Taapsee Pannu and Vikrant Massey Shine Again

The highly-anticipated sequel, Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba, has just premiered on Netflix, generating significant buzz. Following the success of its predecessor, which was praised for its intricate plot and the stellar performances by Taapsee Pannu and Vikrant Massey, the sequel lives up to expectations. This time, the twisted love triangle becomes even more intriguing with the addition of Sunny Kaushal to the cast.

Although the first half-hour of Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba on Netflix starts off a bit slow, the film quickly picks up momentum, surpassing even the impact of its predecessor. Directed by the visionary Jayprad Desai and written and co-produced by Kanika Dhillon, the movie delves deeper into the complex lives of the star-crossed lovers, portrayed by Taapsee Pannu and Vikrant Massey. Produced by Aanand L Rai’s Colour Yellow Productions and Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series Films, this sequel to the hit romantic thriller Haseen Dillruba is bound to keep audiences on the edge of their seats.

Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba Storyline

The sequel to 2021’s “Haseen Dillruba” pick up where the first film left off, with Rishu (Massey) and Rani (Pannu) reuniting after Rishu lost his arm and faked his death. Now, Rani has a new lover, Abhimanyu (Kaushal), and her relationship with Rishu remains just as tumultuous as before. This season, Jimmy Shergill joins the cast, adding even more intrigue to the story.

This time, Rani and Rishu are living in Agra, but it seems they never found the happy ending they hoped for at the conclusion of the first film. Rishu appears to be on the run, while Rani continues her life much like before. As they seek a peaceful life, their plans are upended by the arrival of the enigmatic Abhimanyu, played by Sunny Kaushal, intensifying the love triangle suspense. Adding to the tension is Officer Mritunjay, also known as Montu Chacha, played by Jimmy Shergill, a new cop with a personal grudge, determined to expose their web of lies.
