Stree 2, the horror comedy featuring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor in lead roles, is now out on OTT after a blockbuster 42-day-long run at the box office. A sequel to the 2018 film, Stree 2 has become the highest-grossing Bollywood movie ever with ₹ 581.40 Cr in domestic collections as per Sacnilk.

The Shraddha Kapoor-Rajkummar Rao starrer movie has been made available on the OTT platform for early access to select users. The movie is currently on rent at Rs 249. Users who opt for the renting service will have access to the movie for 48 hours once they begin streaming.
As the film becomes available for rent, it’s expected to soon be accessible to all users on the platform. The first installment is already streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar. Interestingly, Stree 2‘s OTT release coincides with its successful run in theaters.

Stree 2 has made history by surpassing the Rs 600 crore mark in just 39 days.The Shraddha Kapoor starrer opened to nearly ₹60 cr, making it the highest opener of the year and continued to break box office records ever since. This unexpected success has set a new industry standard, making it the first Hindi film to reach this milestone. It achieved this during its sixth week, overtaking Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan and becoming the highest-grossing Bollywood film at the Hindi box office.
Directed by Amar Kaushik, the film focuses on events after the 2018 blockbuster film Stree. This time around, ladies tailor Vicky and his friends go all out to save the town of Chanderi from the terror of a headless entity who mysteriously abducts women.
Backed by Jio Studios and Maddock Films, the film features Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana in pivotal roles.
Following the massive success of Stree 2, the makers have announced a third part to the Shradha starrer as well.
