According to trade website Sacnilk, The Odyssey earned around ₹17.40 crore nett from 8,413 shows across India on Day 1. The film’s gross collection is estimated at ₹20.76 crore.
The movie also registered an impressive 48.7% overall occupancy in theatres on its opening day, indicating strong audience interest across major cities.
English Version Drives Opening-Day Business
Released in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, the film witnessed its best performance in the original English version.
The English-language version contributed an estimated ₹13.75 crore nett, accounting for the majority of the opening-day earnings.
Among the dubbed versions:
- Hindi: ₹1.90 crore nett
- Telugu: ₹1.10 crore nett
- Tamil: ₹65 lakh nett

The Odyssey Enters List of Biggest Hollywood Openers in India
With a ₹17.40 crore opening, The Odyssey has secured a place among the biggest Hollywood openers in India.
However, it remains behind Avatar: Fire and Ash, which opened at around ₹18 crore nett, and Deadpool & Wolverine, which collected approximately ₹21 crore nett on its first day.
The film is expected to witness further growth over the weekend if positive word of mouth continues.

The Odyssey was released in Indian theatres on July 17 after receiving an ‘A’ certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) without any cuts.
